AMS 5DC

The AMS 5DC is a full-bandwidth, high-sensitivity installation loudspeaker built around a 5-inch dual-concentric point-source driver with Omnimagnet technology, mounted on a Torus Ogive Waveguide. The design aims for wide, consistent directivity across the frequency range and clear speech, with a linear response derived from the maker's studio monitors. It can be used for stereo or mono music distribution and is meant to blend with ceiling- and wall-mounted loudspeakers from the same maker in multi-zone installations.

The enclosure is moulded from heat-resistant ABS with a semi-matt black painted finish and a supplied grille. It carries an IP65 rating, so it can be used in indoor pools, health suites and dusty or humid work areas, as well as outdoors where the weather is moderate. A colour-matched yoke bracket is included for mounting, and an optional VARIBALL multi-angle bracket is sold separately.

Connections are made through Phoenix input and link-output connectors, protected by a supplied weatherproof cable gland. A built-in low-insertion-loss 30 W transformer has tap switching for 70/100 V style distribution. The speaker is optimised for LAB GRUPPEN LUCIA amplifiers, which can drive up to 8 AMS Series loudspeakers per channel.
