PP 2e
Compact phono preamplifier that accepts moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges and outputs line level. It suits vinyl setups whose amplifier or receiver has a basic phono input or none.

The PP 2e is a phono stage that amplifies the signal from moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges to line level. It uses RIAA equalisation with a stated accuracy of ±0.3 dB on both inputs and includes a gentle infrasonic filter to reduce rumble. Gain is 35 dB for MM and 60 dB for MC.
Power comes from an external DC supply, which keeps the supply away from the signal circuitry. An Auto Power Down function puts the unit into standby when it is not in use, and an LED shows the power status. The input sockets are gold-plated.
The line-level output connects to a standard amplifier or receiver input, so the unit can add phono capability to a system without one. The case is small, at 135 x 49 x 72 mm excluding the power supply, and fits beside a turntable.
