The Model 10 is a hand-built recreation of the first compact Moog modular system from 1971. It houses 11 discrete analog modules in a portable, Tolex-enclosed wood cabinet. The set includes three 900-series oscillators, a 904A voltage controlled low pass filter, a 907 fixed filter bank, a 902 voltage controlled amplifier, two 911 envelope generators and a 903A random signal generator.
Modules are assembled by hand with traditional wiring, using hand-stuffed and hand-soldered circuit boards, then tested and fitted with aluminum panels. The 2022 build is made to order and adds an onboard power supply with selectable voltages of 100 V, 120 V, 220 V and 240 V, so no external transformer is needed outside the US. The rear panel has been redesigned with a main power switch, power lamp, power inlet, grounding lug and voltage selector, and calibration and tuning stability are improved.
The design favours simplicity and sound purity, and it is the predecessor of the Model 15. The instrument is packed for worldwide transit and is listed as emission, radiation and safety compliant.
