Vintage Classic VIII SM

The Vintage Classic VIII SM is the standmount model of the Vintage Classic Series. It is a two-way design built around a single IsoFlare point-source driver with a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone and FyneFlute surround, paired with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter. The rectangular cabinet is made from high density fibreboard with extensive internal bracing and a hand-finished walnut veneer.
Bass is handled by a downward-firing port that works with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, intended to spread the low-frequency output evenly when the speaker sits above floor level on stands. The crossover is a bi-wired, low-loss passive design with a 2nd order low pass and 1st order high pass, treated with Cryo-Lite. Two voicing adjustments are provided: high frequency energy and presence, each with a range of +/- 3dB.
Sensitivity is 91dB with an 8 Ohm nominal impedance, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 180 watts RMS. The speakers are sold as a pair, and the finish options listed are Walnut and Clear. A manual covering the Vintage Classic VIII and VIII SM is available for download.
