The Connect 250 is a small class D amplifier delivering 2x50 watts to a pair of passive speakers. It streams music over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi from any platform, and can also play music files stored on a network.
Two mounting brackets let the unit be fixed to a wall or a false ceiling, and it is described as suited to any environment, including humid ones. A remote infra-red cable is supplied to make installation easier. A remote control is also used with the unit.
The Elipson BT app, available for Android and iOS, lets the user rename each Connect 250 shown on the Bluetooth network. The amplifier works with the other products in the Elipson Connect range for multi-room use. A reviewer notes that the jack input expects a low level of about 1.5 V and that the Wi-Fi operates on a single frequency band.
