The DP-450USB is a belt-drive turntable with an S-type, static-balanced tonearm and semi-automatic operation. It plays 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm records and comes with a Denon DSN-85 moving magnet stylus already fitted. The cartridge can be swapped for a moving coil type if preferred. A removable dust cover is included, and it can also stand upright on the supplied base to display an album sleeve.
A switchable phono equalizer is built in, so the deck can feed an amplifier that has no phono input, or the equalizer can be switched off when connecting to a receiver with a phono stage. The USB-A port records to a USB flash drive in MP3 or WAV format. The equalizer switch only affects the analog output, not the USB recording feed. The USB port writes files to a drive and does not stream audio to a computer.
Analog output is via RCA. Recording software (MusiCut) is provided for editing, and any audio editor can also be used on the recorded files. The turntable has a built-in power cord and is available in black.
