The AVR-X3900H is a home theater receiver with nine built-in power amplifiers and processing for up to 11.4 channels. Rated output is 105 W per channel into 8 ohms (20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.08%, 2-channel drive). A 70% Power Guarantee covers delivery of over 70% of rated output to up to five channels at once. Immersive formats include Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D, IMAX Enhanced and 360 Reality Audio.
For video, it has six HDMI inputs, all 8K-capable, and three HDMI outputs, one with eARC. It passes through 8K and upscales 4K content, and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG and HDCP 2.3. Gaming features include Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and AMD FreeSync. A phono input (MM), optical and coaxial digital inputs and a multichannel pre-out are also fitted.
Room correction is handled by Audyssey with the supplied measuring microphone, and Dirac Live is available as an upgrade. Network features run on HEOS for multiroom streaming through the HEOS app, with Spotify streaming, Bluetooth-style direct device playback and Josh.ai voice control listed. Two zones are supported.
