The DM3SE is a compact surface-mount speaker from the DesignMax range. It pairs a 3.25 in (83 mm) woofer with a coaxial 0.75 in (20 mm) neodymium dome tweeter, with a passive crossover at 1.7 kHz. Response runs from 75 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), with 140° conical coverage and 101 dB sensitivity. No DSP or EQ is required, though selected Bose Professional processors and amplifiers can add loudspeaker EQ voicing and SmartBass processing.
The enclosure is UV-resistant engineered plastic with a perforated, powder-coated aluminum grille that can be painted. It is rated IP55 for use outdoors in wet locations and ships with weather-resistant input covers. The logo can be rotated or removed, and the speaker is available in black or white.
Installation uses a hidden U-bracket and the QuickHold mounting system. The built-in transformer offers 70 V and 100 V taps plus a bypass for 8 ohm direct operation, and connections are made via Euroblock connectors. Optional pole-mount and pan-and-tilt brackets are available separately.
