D-2

The D-2 is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speaker that serves as the top unit of the Drumfire. It is built around two 4.5-inch woofers and two 1-inch textile dome tweeters, with a bass reflex enclosure and a 2,500 Hz crossover. Amplification is 2x20 W plus 60 W, and the stated frequency range is 45-22,000 Hz. Bass and treble can be adjusted, and six preset buttons give quick access to saved sources.

Streaming is handled over dual-band Wi-Fi, with AirPlay, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Audio Pro Multiroom support. Spotify Connect, Tidal, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, TuneIn radio, vTuner and local music playback are supported, at up to 24/96 streaming quality. Bluetooth 4.2 is also built in.

For wired use there is an analogue RCA line input and a subwoofer output. Setup and control of Generation 2 speakers is done through the Audio Pro Legacy app for iOS and Android. The speaker has no Ethernet, optical, coaxial or HDMI inputs, and no built-in voice assistant.
