The ASP4816-HE is the Heritage Edition of Audient's small-format in-line console. It has 16 mic preamps, 48 channels, over 40 insert points, 8 sends and 8 groups on mixdown. Each channel pairs a long and a short fader, so separate record and monitor paths can run on one strip, and the four-band EQ can be split across both faders.
The Heritage additions are a Vintage Mix Bus Processor and John Hardy 990 discrete transistor amplifiers in the mix bus summing stage. The processor has a transformer drive plus Low Bump and High Lift EQ. The VCA mix bus compressor has an adjustable ratio, auto-release, a VU gain reduction meter and a sidechained high-pass filter called Bass Expand.
The monitor section covers artist communication, footswitch-enabled talkback, solo in front, source selection and speaker control. It has 4 stereo monitor outputs, a headphone output reserved for the engineer, 2 foldback outputs and mono summing. The console plugs directly into the mains with no external power supply, measures around 1 m x 1 m and ships with Cubase LE and Cubasis LE for iOS.
