The FE-8 is an add-on control surface unit for the FW-1884. It extends the FW-1884 by another eight channels of DAW control, and together the two units can control up to 128 DAW channels at the same time. It was developed jointly by Tascam and Frontier Design Group.
Each of the eight channel strips has a 100 mm touch-sensitive motorized fader and a rotary encoder. Select, Solo and Mute buttons are provided per channel, along with a record arm button with an indicator.
