Cloudburst is a compact reverb pedal built around one algorithm. The Decay knob sets tail length and also reshapes the character of the reverb, running from small natural rooms to very large ambient spaces. Controls are Decay, Mix, Tone, Pre-Delay, Mod and an Ensemble switch, with no hidden secondary functions.
The Ensemble effect analyses 48 frequency bands of the incoming signal and generates upper harmonic partials from them. The result changes with pickup choice, picking position and playing dynamics. The mp position gives a subtle enhancement, while forte produces a string-machine-like swell. Mod works as depth up to 12 o'clock and as speed beyond it. Mix has optional power-up modes for kill-dry and an analog dry path, and the bypass can be switched between relay true bypass and buffered bypass.
The pedal has TRS stereo input and output jacks, with a rear switch for mono-to-mono, mono-to-stereo or stereo-to-stereo routing. An EXP/MIDI jack accepts an expression pedal, footswitch or TRS MIDI, and a USB-C port handles MIDI and firmware updates. It stores 300 presets and has a JFET input stage and a 32-bit floating-point ARM processor.
