SP-404SX
The SP-404SX is a portable performance sampler with 12 trigger pads, a Sub Pad, three control knobs and 29 DSP effects. It records 16-bit linear audio to SD card and suits DJs, producers, musicians and live-sound users who trigger jingles.

The SP-404SX records samples through a built-in mono microphone, a mic jack or RCA line inputs, and stores them as uncompressed 16-bit linear audio at 44.1 kHz. Samples are assigned to 12 pads across 10 banks, and a Sub Pad allows rapid repeat triggering. WAV and AIFF files can be imported from a computer and assigned to pads with the bundled Mac/PC software, which can also convert files from the original SP-404 format.
There are 29 DSP effects, including filter, delay, reverb, chorus, isolator, a voice transformer, subsonic and the DJFX Looper. Effects switch without interruption during playback, and 17 of them have a limiter mode. A real-time pattern sequencer with quantize and shuffle holds 120 patterns (12 patterns x 10 banks), each 1 to 99 measures long.
Samples and patterns are kept on an SD card; a 1 GB card is included and SDHC cards up to 32 GB are supported. Outputs are RCA line outs and a 1/4 inch headphone jack, with a MIDI IN connector. The unit runs from the supplied AC adaptor or six AA batteries (not included).
