The EXTC-Stereo links balanced pro-audio gear to instrument-level guitar pedals. It converts line-level audio to instrument level for sending through the pedals, then raises the returning signal back to line level so the processed result can be recorded. Separate Send and Receive controls allow the gain staging to be set for each side.
It can run a stereo pedal, or two independent mono pedal chains, with one chain on the left insert jacks and the other on the right. It can also work as a reamp box: the send jacks feed one or two amplifiers and a microphone captures the result. For recording direct, an instrument and pedalboard connect to the receive jacks and feed the line-level inputs of a recording device.
Pedals connect through 1/4-inch input and output jacks on the front panel. Typical uses include sending drum overheads to a multi-tap delay or adding a flanger or chorus to a keyboard patch. An external power supply is included.
