The Revela 2 is a bass-reflex floor-standing speaker with a three-way driver layout. A 27 x 60mm true ribbon handles the treble, a 150mm midrange cone covers the mid band, and two 165mm cones take care of the low end. The mid and bass cones use an advanced fibre diaphragm with a custom rubber surround and a high-power motor system. A phase-compensated Acoustic Butterworth crossover joins the drivers, with crossover points at 650Hz and 3.8kHz.
The cabinet has internal bracing intended to damp vibration and resonance, a precision-fitted baffle, and a flared port tube sized to limit tube resonances. Finishes are polished real-wood veneer with polished paint, or all-black gloss paint. Rated frequency response is 40Hz to 24kHz (±3dB), with bass extension to 35Hz at -6dB.
Connection is by speaker terminals on the rear of the cabinet. Sensitivity is 89dB with a 6Ω nominal impedance, and the recommended amplifier power range is 20 to 200W. The speaker stands on a plinth with spikes, and a spike seat is supplied.
