The IB2i is a three-way, front-vented ATL reference monitor for studio and serious home listening. It combines a 250mm bass driver, 75mm mid-range dome and 27mm tweeter in a stand-mount cabinet and suits medium to large rooms.

The IB2i is a passive three-way stand-mount monitor built around an Advanced Transmission Line bass-loading design with an effective line length of 2.43m. It was conceived as a compact speaker offering the transparency and dynamics of larger PMC models, and it is used in professional studios including classical recording facilities.
Bass comes from a 250mm carbon fibre and Nomex piston driver, mid-range from a 75mm fabric dome and treble from a 27mm ferro-fluid-cooled soft dome. A 24dB per octave crossover splits the bands at 380Hz and 3.8kHz. Its components are tested, matched and hand-soldered, which supports high power handling; recommended amplifier power is 180-900W into 4 ohms.
Three pairs of 4mm sockets allow tri-wire or tri-amp connection. A matching horizontal centre speaker (IB2-C) and the SB100 sub bass unit are available for surround setups, and the speaker has its own pre-tuned stands. A 20 year warranty applies when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
