Easy Listening

Easy Listening is an all-analog preamp and cabinet simulator in a compact pedal enclosure. It is voiced after a classic mid-1960s American combo amp, with a rich low end, slightly scooped mids and a clear, chiming top end. Because the signal path is analog, there is no latency and no digital processing artifacts, and the headroom and noise floor are comparable to a tube amp.

The single Level control sets the output volume, so there are no menus, presets or impulse responses to manage. The mono input takes a standard guitar cable, and the output is a stereo TRS jack with the tip carrying the left channel and the ring the right channel. That output can feed headphones that use a quarter-inch TRS plug.

For recording, the output can go into one interface channel with a mono TS cable, or into two channels with a stereo TRS cable and a splitter. The pedal runs from a 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-centre barrel and draws 75 mA. The maker recommends isolated, pedal-specific supplies and warns against higher voltages. It carries a limited lifetime warranty.
