The Charisma V2 is a moving-magnet cartridge that sits at the top of the manufacturer's MM line, above the concept V2 to Maestro V2 models. It uses strong magnets to deliver an output of about 3.6 mV, which lets it drive even less sensitive MM phono preamplifiers.
The stylus is a double-polished diamond mounted on a diamond-doped boron cantilever, the same cantilever type used in the maker's Goldfinger Statement cartridge. The line-contact profile is the maker's Prime Line cut. The body is hand-finished ebony fitted with a German silver inlay that is intended to damp unwanted resonances.
Electrical figures include a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, 30 dB channel separation and a recommended tracking force of 2.4 g. It is loaded at 47 kΩ with 100 pF, the standard MM load. A two-year manufacturer warranty applies when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase. Manual and safety notes are available as downloads.
