Radar

RADAR places a pickup microphone just beneath its textured front surface. Taps and scratches on that surface are converted into signals that can be sent to any other module in a system, which suits percussive hits, ambient noises and sound effects.

The pickup is also sensitive to sound waves in its surroundings, such as a knock on the modular case, a drum hit from a nearby player or audio coming from loudspeakers. These sounds can be turned into gate or envelope signals. Gate Sensitivity sets how readily the gate is triggered, and the Attack and Decay controls shape the envelope.

The module is built to fit a standard Eurorack case. It is connected to the case's power supply with power cables and mounted with the included screws, so it can be combined with other synth modules in a patch.
