Dice 2U2

The DICE 2U2 is a 2x2 USB audio interface built around two preamps derived from Midas console designs. Each combo jack accepts a microphone or a high-impedance instrument source, so a mic and a guitar, two vocalists or a stereo source can be tracked without extra DI boxes. Conversion is 24-bit/192 kHz on both the A-D and D-A sides.

A switchable SHINE filter applies a high-shelf lift to brighten the top end when needed. A Mono/Stereo Direct Monitoring switch provides zero-latency monitoring while tracking, and the same path lets the unit work as a standalone preamp without a computer. A high-output headphone amplifier is included for demanding headphones.

For playback there are two balanced 1/4" TRS monitor outputs. Two virtual loopback inputs return computer audio to the interface for streaming and multimedia use. The unit has two USB-C ports and can run on bus power, with optional external power available to spare a host device's battery. It belongs to the four-model DICE family, which shares the same preamp design and converters.
